This year the challenge will be hosted on the LiveJournal TwistedShorts Community and the TtH main site. Those who wish to participate, but don’t have a LiveJournal account, will simply respond to the challenge located on the main site. Please notify the Mods and we'll look into it. Important Note: Due to the way the site is designed - Only site members may send you e-mail thru the site. Unless you reply to a message sent THRU the site software, spammers should have no way of knowing your address. And by default, all accounts, when created, have the 'Send Message' link disabled . (and we went back and turned it off for most old unused accounts - so unless you enabled it you shouldn't get anything from a member that isn't related to a story or from a Mod) So - don't reply to spam that looks like it came from us! Forward it to the Mods. If a message LOOKS like it came from the site, but you think it looks suspicious, tell us! (We don't tolerate spam or spammers on our site.) Just a reminder that if you want to post a story / crossover in a fandom that doesn't exist yet as a category or sub-category on Twisting the Hellmouth, most categories have an Other sub-category to put your story in. Once you've put your story in the appropriate Other category, ask the Mods (nicely!) to create a category/sub-category for your new story. We do go through the Other sub-categories occasionally and create new ones if we see a number of stories in a fandom that doesn't have a category, but there is no set schedule for this sub-category creation, so let us know! Just keep in mind that we don't create categories/sub-categories until there are stories to put in it. There are just too many fandoms out there for us to predict which ones any of our authors will write a crossover for. For challenge details go here: January Drabble Challenge: 20 for 2020 Posted 7 Jan 20 • acs • Comments Site Email Notifications Just a reminder that email notifications for reviews, review comments, story updates, and site PMs are not mandatory around here (and most are off by default and can be easily disabled if you don't want them.). If you no longer wish to receive those notifications, assuming you enabled them at some time in the distant past when you created your account, log into your main site account and uncheck the following settings: - Allow Send Message (Uncheck to disable PMs going to your registered email address) - Enable notification messages. (notifications for reviews, review comments, or story challenges.) - Tracking Alerts - How do you want to be notified if a story/author you are tracking is updated. a. Highlight on the site (but you need to be logged in) b. Immediate email notification c. Send a summary every day. Or go to the 'My Story Tracking' tab in your account profile and disable story tracking. What if you set up tracking years ago, haven't logged into the site since then (Why not? We're friendly folk!) and can't remember your password, and can't change it? Go to the ' Contact Us ' page and (currently) select 'None of the Above' and send the Mods a message asking to be unsubscribed from all notifications. Tell us what email address to do it for, and your pen name and we'll probably do it (but we do have to trust/believe it is YOUR account you want notifications disabled for, of course.
